@home installs is a fantastic service available to consumer customers to enable easy installation at your convenience. We realise that although technology is becoming simpler, sometimes you can benefit from a helping hand.
A trained professional will visit your home at your request and install your computing equipment. Whether it be connecting your PC to your router, or to set up the drivers and operating system for your notebook, we are available any day of the week.
Wireless Router Install
Take the time and strain away from embarking into the world of wireless by having one of our engineers come to your home and install your router, ensuring you get the absolute best performance from your purchase.
Router installation includes
- Set-up and configuration of the router/device, either wired or wireless dependant on customers wishes, for customers Internet connection to one PC or Laptop
- Enable any required security access control
- Demonstration of Internet connectivity
- Familiarisation of router connectivity process
Not included
- Any additional peripheral cabling required
- Any additional AC mains wiring
- Modification or configuration changes to any existing hardware
- Additional configuration of ISP/email settings
Need to add more devices?
We now have many different devices around the house that can also be connected wirelessly. Second PCs or laptops and gaming consoles (XBox, Wii, PS3) can all benefit from the mobility a wireless environment can give you. For a small additional fee you can get our engineer to set these up for you as well.
Basic Home PC Install
In order that you get the very best from your PC we will come to your home at a suitable time for you and our engineer will get everything up and running.
PC installation includes
- Checking and installing your new PC and all other PC related purchases
- Starting up the PC and setting up the Windows Operating System
- Installing drivers and software that will be required to make the products work
- Setting up of an industry recognised Internet account and configuration of email
- Testing PC, printer, scanner and peripherals
- Familiarising you with your new PC
Not included
- Installation of additional software
- Set-up of Internet accounts that are not recognised by UK industry
- Connection and installation of any other equipment or connection to a network
- Installation of internal upgrades
Basic Laptop Set Up
Total peace of mind that you’re getting the very best from your laptop from day one.
Laptop set-up includes
- Check of all box contents
- Battery install
- Starting up the laptop and setting up the Windows Operating System
- Installing drivers and required software
- Setting up of an industry recognised Internet account and configuration of email
- Connection to any existing wireless network
- Familiarising you with your new laptop

- Installation of additional software

File and Print Sharing Set-Up
For a small additional cost you can have the engineer configure your PC or Laptop to access printers with equal ease and efficiency. This allows all your PC’s and Laptops to have the same functionality regardless of connection type, or number of machines you have around the house demanding use of their printing accessories. It provides for sharing of the resources. The additional cost represents high value and delivers simplified and streamlined networking, saving time and frustration in the future.

When you’ve got a problem with your computer or network and need someone to help then our team of trained technicians are available.
Unlimited telephone support includes
- Dedicated local rate telephone support number
- Trained technicians available 08:30 to 20:00 Monday to Friday and 09:00 to 16:00 on Saturdays (excluding Bank Holidays)
- UK based technicians
- Support for wireless network configuration, printer and file sharing
- Assistance with setting up and configuring a new printer and other peripherals

I don’t live on the mainland, will you still install?
@home installs apply to UK mainland, Northern Ireland, Highland and Islands. We do not currently install in addresses located in the Channel Islands.

The brand-new router I wanted to install doesn’t work; do I have to pay for a replacement?
Providing the product originally purchased was from Misco, we will replace ‘dead on arrival’ product free of charge.

Can you set up a home network and file sharing?
This service is available with @home installs.

What happens if my equipment is installed and then I experience problems?
We also offer a telephone support service with unlimited calls for 3 months.
