WEEE Policy
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) & Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS) Directives.
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE) is an EU initiative to protect the environment by reducing the amount of electrical equipment including PCs, servers, printers, laptops and other electrical products going into landfill sites.
If this symbol is shown on any of your goods, it means that the product is classed as Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) and should not be disposed of with your general waste.

Business Customers (Non Household)
Disposal of item(s) is determined by the manufacturer of the specific product and falls under ‘Producer Responsibility’ or ‘Distributor Responsibility’. Producer Responsibility Misco undertake responsibility for the following brands:
- Wintergreen
- Systemax
- Misco Saver
- Qlty
- Ultra
For other producers, please contact them directly as they are responsible for financing the collection, treatment and recovery of the WEEE. If the WEEE does not display "the crossed out wheeled bin symbol" contact the producer of the new EEE. If the WEEE does display the "crossed out wheeled bin symbol" contact the producer of the new WEEE. If the WEEE is not being replaced then it is the responsibility of the business end user to finance the treatment, recycling and disposal in an environmentally sound manner.
Consumers Part of Misco’s obligation as a distributor is to offer a take back scheme and we have partnered with Valpak to fulfill these obligations for Misco and the disposal of WEEE. You can find out more about the environmental aspects of products when they become waste, an explanation of the symbols and the location of your nearest recycling centre by visiting: www.recycle-more.co.uk
